Re: Detect mouse click and coordinates (C++)

On the contrary...
I was programming simple graphics painting programs in DOS when it was the
operating system 20 years ago.
Early Windows was run from DOS.
My understanding was that Windows now simulates DOS (console) for backward
compatibility, but Gary Chanson is saying that console it is very different
from DOS. (Maybe he will explain more.)
When I upgraded to programming using the Windows SDK, I never had any reason
to create console programs.
I actually dislike MFC and don't use it at all.

I wish you luck

I though that a console app was basically a reproduction of DOS, with the

I must say that I have had next to no experience with console programs,
so
my ignorance is showing.

You seriously never learned how to program DOS-based programs? I must say
you're very lucky, For a year I've known nothing except how to program
using
the DOS console, and using the MFC to make windows programs is out of my
knowledge. I'm only 14 atm so I can't do much in the field of programming,
except the library and the internet but I'll be able to enter college at
18 -
22 depending on when it seams the right time, etc. etc. But thanks again
for
the help
