resource editor recommendations

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

And while we're on the topic of resource editing, is anybody aware of a
truly good resource editor? I am coming at this from a Mac perspective, and
Google has thus far revealed to me nothing so nice as Resorcerer or even
ResEdit. There are plenty of resource editors out there, but none of them is
marketed in a way that suggests it could give Resorcerer a run for its
money. It would be a bonus if it had a dialog editor that had guides like
InterfaceBuilder. I would prefer Win32-oriented solutions rather than
MFC-oriented solutions, but I would consider the latter if the editor really
wowed me. I would also (strongly) prefer binary-oriented (.res) solutions
over compiler-oriented (.rc) solutions, but again I would hold my nose and
consider compiler-oriented solution if the editor were otherwise stellar. In
case you're wondering about my frame of reference:
