Hi Andreas,
I was able to get rid of the empty provider by deleting the registry key. I
also made sure that the provider section of my registry was identical to that
on the second computer in my office that is working properly with our NBX
system. Unfortunately, I still can't get my new Quad Core Gateway to load my
dialer even though my NBX Tsp software is properly configured. Being a new
computer, I have been installing several programs over the last 2 weeks. But
I know the dialer was working inside Outlook 2003 and my NBX Tapi Dialer
software was loading until I had the Winfax Pro experts at getfaxing.com
climb into my computer to get Symantecs abandoned Winfax Pro software working
properly with XP SP3. So I've asked them if their mods could have closed
port 20485 that 3Com's NBX uses.
So that's where I am to date. The Winfax Pro software is much more valuable
a tool to me than the dialer as being able to fax over the internet is
cheaper than a dedicated phone line for the handful of purchase orders I
process each week.
Got any other suggestions on how I can get through to my NBX system?
Thanks,
Jim

In my case, the blank line is still there after uninstalling my NBX TSP so
now I think it is time to hit regedit.
So my question to you is, "What do I search for in the registry?"
Jim,
is the "Remove" button enabled, when you select the blank line?
If so, please try this 1st.
What TSPs are currently listed in PhoneAndModemOptions/Advanced list (besides
the blank line)?
What Service Providers are listen by JulMar EnumTapi.exe from:
http://www.julmar.com/tapi/
Please also post the lineGetProviderList() result from TB20.
Please also post all values from this registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Telephony\Provide
rs
You may also want to attach an .REG export file for this.
