Discussions in newsgroup may not only help the OP but others having similar
problems and doing e.g. an online search.
This benefit for the community is motivation for me (and I guess many
other...) to try to help in newsgroups for free.
If you want private support helping only you, then there is no benefit for the
community but only for you.
So it becomes just some kind of support contract, of course on a paid basis
since the supporter dedicates his time exclusively for you.
