I really appreciate your invaluable support. (I might consider your service
if this goes into a commercial project.) :)

Anyway, I believe my audio mixer settings are correct. I set Microphone to
be selected in recording settings, and I mute the microphone playback
settings (I dislike mic playback).

I am suspecting the echo cancellation on the modem itself is because, I
tried some other modems, and there are some which echo is more critical than
the other one. Have you tested out other modems beside PCTel?
