Re: Avaya TAPI 2 Configuration Problem

Nacaroglu,

there is no standard way how a TSP stores its configuration options
and probably in most cases no interface or API. Anything you can
do to handle this situation will therefore remain a hack.
That being said you need to find out where the TSP stores its
configuration options. Probably somewhere in the registry.
You can use RegMon from sysinternals.com (live registry monitoring)
or a tool like InCtrl5 (comparing registry before/after) to find out.
Then you will need to analyze the configuration information and
determine if you want to copy everything as is to other machines
or rather only set certain values. There is no guarantee that this
will work and if it works it may not work accross different versions
of the TSP.

To activate settings you can try to unload/load the TSP:

Control Panel >> Phone and Modem Options >> Advanced
Remove and Add the TSP.

Hello,

We have been developing a TAPI application which is using Avaya TSP (
Tapi 2 ) and working together Avaya IP Office Enviroment. Users of the
application can change their computer very quickly. And users cannot
make "Avaya TAPI 2 Configuration" ( that is located under Control
Panel à Phone And Modem Options à Advanced ) when they changed their
computers. Hence is there any easy way to make "Avaya TAPI 2
Configuration" programmatically?

Also when we changed "Avaya TAPI 2 Configuration", those changes
will not be active without restart computer. Do we have to restart
everytime when we make changes Avaya TAPI 2 Configuration"?

Thanks for advance.
