For you and me and the regulars here TAPI is a no-brainer. For someone new
to the API it presents an awfully steep learning curve. Getting up to speed
is anything but _free_. And when you are done, you get precious little from
the UNIMODEM TSP for your trouble. Ultimately, the OP will end up using the
handle to the port anyway.
