I downloaded and installed ComISDN TSP for CAPI. I got it to run so far but
it doesn't support DATAMODEM :-(. Is that possible? I don't think that I
overlooked something.

Aha, now something else makes sense too: A colleague mentioned to me that
for analog lines you will have to contact your phone company to turn on
"data call recognition" ("Diensterkennung Daten" in the German original). He
said this is necessary if you want to call GSM from analog, otherwise GSM
wouldn't recognize it as a data call. Could this also be the reason for not
detecting an incoming call on an analog line that was placed as a "data
call" from ISDN?

When I used the ComISDN TSP the call made from my AVM unimodem TSP was
recognized fine although the phone was not ringing. But the problem is that
ComISDN does not support DATAMODEM :-(

Seems so!

Question: What are possible reasons for a TSP (i.e. for an analog line) not
to recognize a call (no "call offered")? My analog line sees incoming calls
if they are not made from that AVM unimodem TSP which doesn't ring. Or put
more easily: My analog modem recognizes calls that are ringing but not those
that are not ringing.
