Hi Andreas,

Thanks for your response.

A little more background is probably required here....We've developed a
Windows Sockets based CTI environment where we have a CTI Server which
communicates to the PABX via Serial Port and a client-side TAPI Service
Provider with communicates with the CTI Server through a given port.

The reason for doing this is that we wanted to create a TAPI environment for
the PABX which didn't require a Windows Telephony Server (and therefore a
Windows Server based OS) . The CTI "Server" is fine with Windows 2000
Professional or Windows XP Professional. So this is a variant of a "Third
Party TAPI" model.

The client side TSP works just fine with TAPI enabled applications such as
ACT! and SalesLogix - we've developed application originated add-on's which
make use of 1st or 3rd Party TAPI environments (Panasonic; Avaya etc).

One issue we have at the moment is that we are trying to get the Client-side
TSP to work with a third-party Call Centre Application which requires a
"Third Party TAPI" model. Although it isn't explicit, we suspect that the
Call Centre Application is looking for remotesp.tsp - hence one approach was
if we simply recompiled our TAPI service provider "tspclt.tsp" as
remotesp.tsp......this might be one way of dealing with the issue.

So, there is "method in our madness"......

We gather that renaming remotesp.tsp is not possible.......any alternative
opinions?

Regards,

Chris Trabing
