Hi,
I am using a telephone line simulator, which connects to an external
modem, using TAPI 3.1 COM, VS Compiler and unimodem TSP. The problem
is that my simulator only supports 2 seconds of dialtone, then it will
automatially start ringing the other phone device which it is plugged
into.
Now, when I try to dial a number from ITBasicCallControl, it fails
because it is not dialing the number quickly enough, because I only
have two seconds of dial tone. It just sits at the initalising state
waiting for the dial tone, but after two secs it starts to simulate
ringing. I cant change the amount of dialtone on the simulator
neither. I have also changed the settings on the modem so that it
doesn't wait for the dial tone. However, when I do this, I get the
following call state events: Initalising, Connected, Disconnected. The
call always fails.
Is there any other way of making my modem not wait as long for the
dial tone? I looked at my modems manual, and there is an S Register
which contains the number of seconds it should wait for a dial tone. I
tried taking the modem into terminal mode and changing the value of
the register to 1, and then running my application, but it still
didn't work. The AT commands said it was successful.
Thanks for any advice, Dene.
