Depends on where you are in the world.
What country are you in ?
The Windows system only consider the United States, and do not have any
consideration to the rest of the world so you may get a system that sort of
works but not completely.
The Caller ID standard has been completely misunderstood by a lot of
countries due to misleading documentation.
Microsoft could fix this by making the system smarter, but unfortunately
they do not care as it works in the United States. Maybe they will wake up
during the next 20 years.
If you're in the United States there are a lot of modems that works fine.
