FYI I've an internal voice modem that seems to have a direct connection
(internal cabling) to the sound card.
In the soundcard's volume control I have extra sliders for the phone line
(playback and recording).
These sliders affect e.g the volume of the phone line being heard via PC
speaker.
I can switch this by means of phoneSetHookSwitch() via e.g. TB20 or JulMar's
Phone.
If you don't have this connection then see Grant's reply.
