Thanks for all the input. It certainly make things clearer to me. I
have a few more follow up questions:
1) All previous post mention about the lucent system. My actual
deployment is going to be on Ericsson BP250. Anyone has any idea how
the system will behave? From what I know, it seems that in order for
me to use an analog phone, I need to add an analog extension card to
the PBX. I have tried to search for information on this card but I not
able to find any. Anyone has any experience with this system?
2) In the dialogic API documentation, they mentioned something call
the ADSI (Analog Display Services Interface). Is it possible for me to
use this to retrieve the caller id? Is this an old legacy protocol?
Should I continue to explore on this?
3) I have current a set of code working for D/41JCT card. If I were to
switch to D/42JCT-U, is there going to a major code revamp?
Well, in conclusion, as long as the PBX or KSU is not sending the
caller id information down the analog line or it is sending the caller
id information not using Bellcore format, there is nothing I can do.
Right?
Thanks a million!!!
Regards,
Chin
