Thanks, I did find in another thread where you provided more detail.
I have never had any problem with the device specific funtions of the
HP to route the audio. I really like that I have that level of
control. We include "TeleSense" in our tools, so it's much easier
than setting up a device specific function, you just send the string
in one line of code and I use it all the time for lots of things, even
changing the DTMF duration on the fly.
I have noticed almost all devices having to have settings changed to
do what you describe anyway. The fact that phones echo back some of
your audio so you can hear yourself in an analog loop means that you
are going to hear back part of what you send out. Even on Dialogic
cards, if I want to be able to detect silence (or do speech rec), I
have to make sure to turn the receive gain down and the outgoing
volume a little lower. It's really touchy.
