Re: Platform SDK MIB builder?

Here's what I want to do:
I want to use the Platform SDK to generate traps -- nothing else. I don't
want to listen for polling requests from an NMS.
Let's assume that I have a MIB already (IWBN if I could find an MS tool to
build one!). What is the relationship between the MIB and the Platform SDK
API's to generate traps? In other words, let's say I have a MIB with my traps
defined in it, and I get to the point where I'm ready to generate an alarm.
In my cursory search through the online documentation on MSDN, I see no
mention of MIBs, when using calls like SnmpSendMsg() or SnmpSetPduData().
Further, if the MIB is a file, where does it need to reside? Is there an
environment variable?
Thanks,
- John
