P2P Grouping: Direct Connections

Hi all,

is there a limit on direct connections I can open and close from an
application?
My Situation: two peers (A and B) in a group A opens a direct connection to
B they communicate, A closes the connection, everything works just fine.
Then after 3 connections an attempt to open a fourth one fails. After some
time it works again.
Any hint on the problem would be appreciated,
