I have seen that when I extarct the mixer's source lines in Xp, I
encounter all the parts (sub components like mic, lineinn, front mic
ec), and these could be enumerated. I could also see these parts in
the playback device and could control them.

But in vista when I extract the mixer's source lines I have
encountered only two source lines master volume and cd audio. Then
later I discovered that these components are not there in the playback
device sub components list. Which means the playback device sub
components are no where in the vista audio architecture.

The only thing I wonder is if there is no interface for these devices
then how is the VISTA OS, itself is controling them. When I mute the
playback microphone I cannot hear my voice that I spaek through my
mic. It means it is working. If it is controled, then there should be
some interface for it.

Did you find any new thing regarding this matter.!!!!!
Communication from both side is a must, to solve this problem

Your experiences with Vista are like mine. The first thing to try is to
set Compatibility to XP. (Right-click on the app's desktop icon, go to
Properties - Compatibility.) When you run in XP mode you get a completely
different mixer, with more controls. If that doesn't help then you are probably
out of luck. Since Vista has done away with SndVol32.EXE the native sound card
controls are no longer exposed. The proprietary Realtek interface apparently
can still access those, but they are not available to the rest of us. I also
notice that the Realtek controls (on my system at least) don't interact with the
new Volume Mixer, in the sense that changing a slider in one doesn't change the
corresponding slider in the other. So I think the Realtek controls are not even
used by Vista itself... and that is why I think there is not much hope that we
will be able to access them ourselves.

I'm thinking it might be time to look into ASIO. I've heard ASIO drivers don't
use the Kernel Mixer at all, so maybe they use the native controls. (Anybody
know?) I haven't look at ASIO so far because most consumer sound cards don't
come with ASIO drivers, but lately I've been hearing about ASIO4ALL which is
supposed to work with any sound card. Starting to sound better and better!
