me some other way to access it. I need it desperately, I need to mute
the microphone of playback device to avoid the echo from microphone.

If it is there as a feature in Windows you should be able to enumerate and
control it.  What is the sound chip / sound card that you are using?

Dear,

Sound card is Realtek High definition audio

There are features:

when I go to
playback devices->Speakers->properties->levels
tab -> (microphone, front mic, linein etc)

I find all components like microphone, front mic, linein etc. They are
active and respond when used.

But I want to access them through code.
