WenJun, thanks very much for the reply. Your summary of the problem is
correct.
Rather than use my actual application with lots of code that could
complicate things, I have put together the simplest possible ActiveX controls
that show the problem. I will package my sample MFC ActiveX and ATL ActiveX
controls that illustrate the problem. (Unfortunately it does not happen on
all machines, but I will also send you the system specs for the computer it
is consistently failing on.)
Thanks again for the quick reply and your willingness to look into this; it
is an extremely urgent issue for us right now and I am totally stuck! I will
send you the code shortly.

Hi Chris,.
According to your description, the problem is IE Windows crashed
unexpectedly when you host an custom ActiveX control in the web page which
utilizes the WMP ActiveX control to play a WMV file.
I just think this may not be a mmedia issue but an ActiveX control
programming one. Could you please package the sample and send it to me at:
wjzhang@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (please remove online.)? I'd try to reproduce
the problem you met and look info the code before I can give some
suggestions or assistance.
Thanks & Best Regards,
WenJun Zhang
