We installed CDO 1.21 and that had no effect. I would think that would be
some sort of Windows service running to support MAPI calls from the external
program, however the code is failing after this line:
Set objSession = CreateObject("MAPI.Session")
as no object is created.
I also downloaded a help file from Microsoft that discusses how MAPI is
implemented in Outlook 2007 so it sounds like it is still supported. We just
need to figure out how to get the Windows service installed and/or running.
The help file does not mention how MAPI is loaded onto the client machine.

I assume by MAPI you mean CDO 1.21. It is no longer installed by Outlook.

We have a 3rd. party app that accesses Outlook 2007 via MAPI. We've just
switched from Lotus Notes Mail to Outlook. The code is failing when
trying
to create a MAPI object so it seems MAPI is not installed. How do we
install
MAPI? Thanks.
