RE: takes very long to release the session

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi Ashutosh,
I understand that you confronted a series of First-chance exceptions in the debugger
when you tried to release a MAPI session.
If I have misunderstood, please let me know.

Does this issue only happen when you debug your application? It seems that you are
facing the known issue documented here:
What is a First Chance Exception?
http://blogs.msdn.com/davidklinems/archive/2005/07/12/438061.aspx

If you can continue your application with no other issues, there is nothing to worry about.
Second-chance or unhandled exceptions are the ones to watch out for.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. Have a nice
day!

Best regards,
Charles Wang

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for
non-urgent issues where an initial response from the community
or a Microsoft Support Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable.
Please note that each follow up response may take approximately
2 business days as the support professional working with you may
need further investigation to reach the most efficient resolution.
The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by
contacting Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions/support/default.aspx.
