Getting mail using c#

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Greetings,

I need a way to get mail from a server in my C# application. I have
looked around for something that can help me do this, but not really
found anything.

CDO/MAPI looks interesting, but I don't know how to get it working. I
am running Visual Studio .NET 2003 on Windows 2000, and the only
COM-components I can find are Microsoft CDO for NTS 1.2 library (which
is something else entirely?) and Microsoft CDO for Windows 2000, which
I thought should work, but it doesn't look like it. Seems that version
of CDO for windows 2000 is not based on MAPI...

Anyway, please help. I'm new at this so maybe I've missed something.
There seems to be a very easy way to send mails (using stuff from
System.Web.Mail) but all the stuff I have found about retrieving mail
seems very complicated. :-/

Thanks for any help!
