Re: Bad booting Situation, need some help,...

If you replaced the motherboard by exactly the same model of motherboard, and the change in CPU is no problem but the change in motherboard settings is a problem, then boot into the BIOS setup screens and change the settings to match the old motherboard's settings.

It sounds like the present Windows installation doesn't have AHCI drivers, so the old motherboard probably had BIOS settings to use SATA instead of AHCI.

Hi Stefan,

it has been done that far, that all drives have been cleaned from
inconsistency and errors on the FS, so it is just fine, i mean the
hardware. The OS is on a seperate partition and the data about
2x250GB are on two different physical drives with a partition on
each drive. The OS is on a 150GB Drive and completely isolated
from the data, the only thing left is hat windows wants to load
the old drivers for the old mainboard. The reason is described here.
I asume that you can read geman, so see here:

A Windows Repair would force the OS to redetect the Mainboard and
all controler hardware so that i must not reinstall the os. I also dont want
to loose the already installed environment. Best of all is that i dont have the
Windows CD yet here. It is in a desk, far away from me a
and i will get it next week some day,...

Kerem
