Thanks for your help. Actually it's not *that* important anymore, now
that I have a solution working nicely on all NT versions, and given the
fact, that this behaviour apparently only occurs on XP. So, if you get
some interesting reply it would be nice if you could share it, if you
don't get it, well, never mind.
