Have you installed the driver from an administrator log-on before you
try to run the program from a user log-on? As I recall, when I used WinIO
on XP, it would run from an administer log-on without installing the
driver
first, but not from a user log-on.

Hello Gary,
The WinIO library contains the function 'InstallWinIoDriver' which was
specifically added to the library to allow non-administrators to run
applications that use the WinIO library. I've found even this does not
work - when nonadministrative users run my application, the microsoft 'msi'
installer is called and expects my application to provide installation
files.
In response to your question, yes, I've installed the driver from an
adminstator log-on.
