Hello Ben,
<snip>
<snip>As a result I'm posting this message, in which I (here it comes)
want to ask if someone maybe has an idea to how I can get
Windows to allow me to use the whole drive (an updated/
special driver ? Other methods ? A (minimal) file-server
solution perhaps ?), and/or what to look out for (so I can
use the drive without worrying about loosing my data).
Easiest solution -- boot a linux livecd, run fdisk, disk-druid, or your
favorite other partitioning software that gets the partition table
tothen reboot and use from windows.
Thanks for your answer.
It looks like, after rading Grzegorz and your answers, that I do not have
worry about that 32 GB border I keep reading about, so I'm going to giveit
a try. :-)
Some BIOSs have a 32GB limit though, so if you do run into that, look
for a BIOS upgrade for your motherboard. If you can't find one, get a cheap
PCI IDE card.
