Doh! I was watching Doron's movie [
http://channel9.msdn.com/Showforum.aspx?forumid=14&tagid=129 ] few
hours ago and he did say that WDF is meant to W2K pro systems. And it
does make sense as well, because it is a thick layer (framework) on
existing architecture rather anything new introduced deep inside.
Lets say in this way that if one is developing a genuine WDF gadget
which is not using *any* other objects introduced by OS on its own then
it will work on W2K pro systems , right?

I am 100% agree with above statement and its not so cool.

Anyway atleast it is right way to move for compiling a driver for
multiple OSs with little pain and fear that all the customers would be
having the same fix.

Doron, i was watching your movie and pal! you did great. Frankly first
half was quite boring because of your strolling fingers on those
diagrams (Which were not covered by the camera man as it seems just a
handy cam rather a professional camera) , which should be addresses in
details if required. As the complexity is involved, i don't think it
can be done in so short time. The last half is quite interesting with
little questions and answers part.

BTW when we are gonna have those diagrams , l0l.
