How is Windows Explorer doing an Alias?

In Windows Explorer, if I open the tree branch for the root of my E: drive,
there is a folder named "Chris Shearer Cooper's Documents". However, in the
bar at the top of Windows Explorer, it says that the folder is "E:\My
Documents". (See http://www.sc3.net/Documents.gif)
If I open up a DOS window and type
e:
dir \
it tells me the folder is in fact named "My Documents" (and not "Chris
Shearer Cooper's Documents").
Back in Windows Explorer, under "Desktop", the "My Documents" link goes to
"C:\Documents and Settings\Chris Shearer Cooper.COMPUTER\My Documents", so
it's not that.
In Windows Explorer, under "My Computer", is a link named "Shared Documents"
that goes to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS and another link
named "Chris Shearer Cooper's Documents" that goes to C:\Documents and
Settings\Chris Shearer Cooper.COMPUTER.
If I look in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders, all the folders listed start with %USERPROFILE%, In my
environment, USERPROFILE is C:\Documents and Settings\Chris Shearer
Cooper.COMPUTER.
There's nothing in my environment that refers to the E: drive.
So how the ()*&)%(*& is Windows Explorer deciding that the folder named
E:\My Documents should actually be called "Chris Shearer Cooper's
Documents"?
The only possible clue ... this folder was backed up & restored (or maybe
copied directly) from what _was_ the official "My Documents" folder on an
old machine. Is it possible that the folder has an attribute set somewhere
that says "I'm special"?
Thanks!
Chris
