USB keyboard driver for reading/writing directly to the keyboard

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has source code available or any other
assistance for the creation of a USB keyboard driver (either filter or
a minidriver), that allows a user application to directly send data to
or read data from the keyboard? This problem arises due to Windows
normally having exclusive access to USB keyboards with the default
keyboard drivers - whereas I need to send data to and receive data from
the keyboard in a separate user application. The driver needs to run
in Windows XP (and Windows 2000 if possible).

Any help on this topic is greatly appreciated.
