User profiles and C/C++

Hi,
I would like to manipulate user profiles programmatically with C++ (Windows
XP)(creating, copying, deleting and mapping to the other drive).
Is there any valuable source of information how to do task like that? I have
been searching in MSDN but I haven’t found any information.
Is there any book devoted to this?
