Hi All,
I am trying to evaluate rendering performance for VMR-7 and VMR-9.
Here are my observations,
1. Environment used: P4 (3.4 GHz), 1GB Mem, ATI FireGl V3100 card (128
MB)
I ran push bitmap set source at 30 fps with resolution 720,480 in graph
edit with both renderers. With VMR-7 it is taking 3% CPU whereas with
VMR-9 it takes 12%.
During rendering the input pin of VMR-7 has sub type RGB32 for VMR-9 it
is ARGB32.
I did one more test with low end PC,
2. Environment used: P4 (2.7 GHz), 1GB Mem, Built in Intel Graphics
Card 64 MB
I ran push bitmap set source at 30 fps with resolution 720,480 in graph
edit with both renderers. With VMR-7 it is taking 18% CPU whereas with
VMR-9 it takes 20%.
During rendering the input pin has sub type RGB32 for both VMR-7 &
VMR-9.
I am not able to understand the difference between VMR-7 and VMR-9
performance on High End Graphics Card machine. Is ARGB32 rendering by
VMR-9 has some performance overhead because on low end graphics card
when VMR-9 is rendering RGB32, performance is almost same to VMR-7.
What r the important graphics card or VMR-9 config settings that
defines VMR-9 performance?
Thanking U in Advance
