I use directx 9.0 and VC++.net 2005.The filter graph is as follows:
capture filter-------avi mux----------filter writer //capture video
|------------video mixing renderer 9 //preview

One problem with this setup is that you're writing uncompressed data.
Depending on your resolution and bit depth, that could be more data
than your disk can handle at full framerate. What is the resolution
and bit depth of your video?
