9mS jitter in a video signal seems OK to me. It's not my area of
expertise, but I would not expect that to be noticable.

HOw long before it gets really out of sync? And does it take the same time
if you have a different sound card (clock drifts are an issue in
DirectShow).

Maybe someone else can shed some light on this. I'm out of ideas!
