The MPEG-2 spec allows for "user data" packets that can be stuffed with
anything the decoding sofware finds useful. I am programming a Philips
SAA6752 encoder to generate an MPEG-2 Program Stream, and would like to
insert "user data" packets with each I-frame and then retrieve them during
the software decode process. Will DirectX DirectShow cooperate with
retrieving these "user data" packets? I don't think so but just want to be
sure.
