Again with the sarcasm. Is this your talent? You don't appear to have one
for helping people from what I've observed so far.

Please point out where I am mistaken in my previous analysis then (and see
below as to why I have the OED on my bookshelf here in the US).

I apologize for assuming you are Irish. I am British as are my parents. I
have lived in England, in Canada and I am now in the U.S. I'm afraid this
may not count as "many countries". However, it does include three of the
major ones where English is spoken so I do have a fairly good understanding
of differences in how the language is used.
