Media Limits Between Filters

Are there any limits to resolution that I need to worry about if I were to
change the dimensions for the output pin of my filter to something different
from the input pin?

I'm currently inputting 720 X 480 frame size into the transform filter and want
to use 1440 X 240 as the output format because it's converting a polar camera
image into a panorama image. Is there a chance that non-standard screen
dimensions could limit what downstream filters I can use? I hope not.
