When mplayer does a overlay on ATI which has no
DDFX_OVERLAYARITHSTRETCHY, zoomed by x2 it seems to do this with good
arithmetic stretching (antialiasing).

It can't be a RGB Overlay using a Blt (with arithmetic stretching) from
a backbuffer ?

And i didn't figure out how to Blt (with stretch) between YUV surfaces.

Is it done by software upsampling the YUV Data and giving it into the
YUV overlay ?

And how does mplayer do the full screen video display with good looking
resampling?
