You can implement it yourself, but honestly I don't like the new
sample framwork that much -- it feels too much like 1989 with
everything in global variables and global function calls.
Just in case it wasn't clear (I forgot this was the managed group),
this comment is about the C++ unmanaged UI framework.
However, I have a feeling that the .NET sample framework UI code is
just as kludgey.
