Litterature on "Component Based Object System" and scenegraphs

I am looking for good books on scenegraph implementations.

While I am looking forward to get to learn XNA I'd like to implement a
scenegraph that suits well the structure of XNA, for easier transition later
on. So far I've learned that XNA uses a "component based system". Does there
exist any litterature covering this in-depth. I've already ordered the Game
Programming Gems 6, which has an article about it.
