After trying the SDK Samples, I have ~200 fps rate.
I then tried the OnPaint approach instead of Application.DoEvents game loop that is in the SDK and the frame rate is ~60fps and with nothing in the application except device initialization, is there a simple reason for that drop in FPS? anything to do with OnPaint( )?
