No. If you divide the radius of a distance-circle for an object by 2,
it doesn't follow that the object now winds double the angle around
the camera point (if you don't deform the object's surface).

On the other hand, take a look at the intercept theorems
( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intercept_theorem ).
It follows that a planar object parallel to the screen
is magnified by dist_screenplane_camera / dist_objectplane_camera.
