I stduy the paaper of "Stylized Rendering Techniques For Scalable
Real-Time 3D Animation".
It talk about "shower door effect" as below:
However, during animations, this mapping technique
causes a "shower door effect" in which the model appears to be
swimming through the texture [Meie96].
What does the "shower door effect" mean?
Just a guess after glancing at the paper.
The interaction between the lines of the model and the background
causes an optical illusion effect during animation that makes it look
like the model is being distorted as it moves, like viewing someone
moving behind a bumpy glass shower door.
