Why are they making the SDK expire?
The only SDKs I've ever seen expire were beta releases of the SDK.
Make sure you are downloading the SDK from Microsoft and not some
third party site.

Do they consider the DirectX SDK (June 2006) to be a beta SDK for DX10?
