Debug runtime selected but doesn't work ( I am linking to d3dx9d.lib, and on control panel I choosed " use debug version", I am not familiar with the debug runtime don't know what the expect to ( a console that display errors? )When you run your application in a debugger, whatever bit of the debugger (in visual studio, there is a window for this) displays debug output will display the output from the direct3d debug runtime.
There is also a program called DebugView by Sysinternals that can display the output.
