Re: No sound wicht High Definition Audio

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Hi Dziko,

first check if you turn off your sound (the speaker icon in the tray),
if there is no tray then run this "sndvol". If everything looks fine,
then run "mmsys.cpl" to get the audicontrol and then check if you
can see all hardware there. Right-Click into the Playback-Tab and
see if disabled hardware has been made invisible. If this isnt a
solution for your case, then open the Device Manager and see
if there is any disabled or malfunctioning hardware or anything
marked with a red-cross, yellow exclamation-icon etc,...

Mostly its just a disabled speaker output/turn off volume level, or
sometimes even a unplugged jack for your speakers,..i am
really not kidding,... :-) its not always a hardware/driver problem.
Did you made any Updates to your Windows and then you noticed
that your system has become "voiceless", Really at first check if
you accidetally mute your speakers output,...

regards

Kerem
