Vista Print Monitor Differences from XP

Hi, I have a user mode monolithic type printer driver with port and language
monitor component. This driver worked fine on 2000 and XP, but something is
wrong with it on Vista. It prints fine, but the language monitor does not
seem to be activated at all (ie. Debug statements from the LM indicate that
it is not running). Any advice on where to start looking for the problem?
