Guess you are out of luck. The WDK headers are incompatible with VS6. It
might be possible to change them enough to get it to work, but not likely.
Also the libraries that are provided may not work with VS6. I hope you mean
Visual Studio 6 and not the obsolete DOS VC6, which I don't remember if it
even supported C++. I would always use VS6 as no other language in that
package is appropriate/normally used for this area of development.
Sign up for connect at Microsoft. Join the WDK/KMDF/etc program. When you
are accepted, sign back in and go to your participation, WDK, then click
downloads. It isn't that difficult.

Hi, I've been trying for a day or so to find the WDK for windows XP.
I'm
working on a driver for a usb device. I've followed the instructions
from
the
How to Get the Windows Driver Kit and the Windows Logo Kit web page.
I've
logged in however I'm unable to locate the WDK.
I'm sure I'm overlooking something but I'll be darned if I can find it
in
that list.
any help would be appreciated :)
downloaded from a USB development group. This is for home use, and is
not
intended to be sold. The documentation references the windows DDK and the
files: hid.h, hidsdi.h, setupapi.lib, and setupapi.h.
When I started searching the microsoft site, it mentioned that it was
superceded by the WDK. Can the windows DDK still be downloaded. I don't
have a payed subscription for msdn. Can this still be downloaded? As I
mentioned this is not for profit, but for learning more about usb
communications.
