\par Good luck with that, and I'm glad you're getting some benefit. This issue is reaching the limit of what I can effectively provide in the context of the newsgroup, but it sounds like you're headed in the right direction.

\par Ultimately, I suspect you'll end up needing a new modem. Whatever you can learn from the verbose setupapi.dev.log in %windir%\\inf may give you some ideas, but beyond that it will be up to the vendor to debug the driver.
