ok i have an old compaq, windows 98 secound edtion, i had to restore it
several times in a row, tried to get (westel) ethernet DSL CD into it to
connect to the web, it says i need new driver for sound and video, but
doesnt tell me which or a name or a clue so I can go find one, now prior
to the restore, I had this computer on line with the current DSL box
(westel) Ethernet.., it had been on line with comcast cabel internet CD in
it, and it went on line no muss no fuss with the ethernet. i bought a
spliter from my DSL company. hooked up both comps and away we went, but I
lost the comcast internet data on the restore, and it seems there are no
drivers on the CD from ethernet (westel)..my DSL peeps have been no help
they tell me until i update the drivers i will not be able to connect. I
put in the 98 windows CD looked for update drives and it says i have them.
im really frustrated. can some one tell me what driver to look for and down
load to a CD to take to the compaq and instal?
