I ordered both DDK by microsoft and the older one did work without errors
few years ago on another pc. Now I have on both DDK the same error. I think
it could be incompatible with anything. Perhaps Visual Studio 8 or XP Home
Edition or anything else. On the other pc was Visual Studio 6 and Windows
2000, if I remember right. Is there anything known about incompatibility?

So you installed the DDK on another PC and still no go.
Perhaps your DDK copy is bad. Try to download it
again, and, if you burned an ISO file on a CD, do this again.

Also I tried several variations with build parameters, but I'm not able
to
compile the sample drivers.
Also I'm not able to compile my old USB drivers, with old Windows XP DDK
or
new Windows Server 2003 SP1 DDK.
The confusing is I was able to compile few years ago, with the old DDK on
another computer.
On the old DDK Build Environment there was print the same error:
NMAKE : fatal error U1064: MAKEFILE not found and no target specified
In spite of the fact that both is in the specified directory!
